It’s a shame that this question gets asked more than the better question, “Who is Jocelyn Crowley?” Well, one answer is that she is Alan Colmes’ wife. Another answer is: Monica Crowley’s sister. But the more detailed answer is that she is an associate professor in the Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy, at Rutgers University, where she is also affiliated with the Department of Women’s Studies.

Below is an excerpt from her bio at jocelyncrowley.com. Interesting to note is that nowhere in here does she mention that her husband is Fox News’ beloved commentator Alan Colmes. Maybe he’s not so beloved in truly academic circles.
From her bio: Jocelyn Elise Crowley is an Associate Professor of Public Policy, a member of the Graduate Faculty in the Department of Political Science, and an Affiliated Faculty Member of the Department of Women’s and Gender Studies. She has written extensively on the topic of family policy, including her book The Politics of Child Support in America (2003). Professor Crowley has also written on the subject of voluntary associations in the United States, and has recently finished a book related to the fathers’ rights movement in America that was published by Cornell University Press in 2008.
If you’re wondering what Sean Hannity’s wife looks like, here’s a more recent post on Alan Colmes vs. Sean Hannity.
That’s all.

No problem Mr. Ladies Leather Gloves. I ran into your wife, Mrs. Leather Gloves at the mall yesterday. She was pimping assorted winter garments. Good luck!

Dear friends, family, and patriots,
Sometimes the truth really hurts.
Today I watched the respected liberal pundit Alan Colmes shred the conservative “talking head” that he was pitted against. The discussion was about GOP criticism of the Obama budget. The GOP position was full of patriotic rhetoric and popular Tea Party sound bites.
Despite this, Alan Colmes made more sense, made better points, and proved again to me that the GOP is just as guilty for the sorry state of our nation, as the Democrats. His comments about how to lower the deficits and Washington red ink were truthful and far more credible than the competing GOP conservative pundit.
For example:
1. Colmes accurately charged that the wars in Afganistan and Iraq utterly squandering much of the budget surplus that came out of the Clinton Presidency. The fact is that the surge that the commanders on the ground wanted immediately following the invasion, and blocked by Rumsfeld, cost our nation 5000 dead soldiers, 5.5 wasted years, and countless billions spent treading water.
2. Maintaining over 500 World War II era overseas bases is an archaic luxury that this nation can no longer afford. Whereas there are certain bases that still retain a strategic value, most of them are from an era 50 years gone. The defense budget is being wasted in this area.
3. Very credible and trusted SF sources have always maintained that the war in Afganistan could have been waged for more successfully, and at 1/50th the cost, if it was made a special ops forces war. Conventional forces are simply getting in the way and wasting an incredible amount of this nation’s wealth. Not to mention the needless loss of American and ally lives in the process.
4. The retirement age needs to be rolled back: When the social security system was put in place back in the 1930′s, the average life span was far shorter than today. The longer life span has placed an unexpected burden on a system that was designed using a far different actuarial formula on the payment of retirement benefits. The program needs to be drastically updated and modernized to confront the modern lifespan paradigm.
5. The horribly expensive super weapons of the WWII and cold war era need to be phased out. War strategies need to be re-thought. The way of warfare is evolving at light speed. Meanwhile, we have partisan politicians and Pentagon planners fighting for funding to produce weapons of “last war production”.
Dear friends, I have not crossed over to the “dark side” and embraced liberal thought. I am re-affirming my position as a patriot utilizing the Christian principal of telling the truth where the truth needs to be told.
We went from a budget surplus in the late 1990′s to a 14 Trillion Dollar deficit today. We mortgaged ourselves to the ChiComs. We spent money like drunken sailors. It is time to get our Nation’s financial house in order, and nothing is exempt from fiscal review.

1st picture is kind of misleading. Jocelyn Crowley is in the photo, however she is the darker imaged woman to Alan’s right who is facing away from the camera.
the woman in the forefront of the photo, to Alan’s left (our right) is Morgan Fairchild.
so, probably not the best photo to be used on a page titled “Who is Alan Colmes wife?”
Thanks Donald. I had no idea- and after taking a closer look at that picture, I believe you. I don’t know where I dug up the picture but I’ll see if I can find a better one.
